Your Job

  • Service enquiry to the office
  • Develop a prospecting plan to obtain listings
  • Conduct prospecting activities
  • Develop and maintain a contact database
  • Inspect and list properties for sale
  • Maintain regular contact with owners of listed properties
  • Prepare marketing and conduct service activities to sell listed properties
  • Conduct inspections by qualified buyers of properties for sale
  • Draw up and negotiate contracts of sale for properties
  • Supervise the contract of sale to completion

  • 4/5 controlled listings per month

Eligibility Requirements

  • Be 18 years
  • Not affected by a bankruptcy action
  • No serious criminal conviction in Queensland or elsewhere within the preceding 5 years
  • Not currently disqualified from holding a licence or registration certificate
  • Meet educational requirements (Sales Registration Course)
  • Must have an employer or prospective employer
  • Cost: Application and annual fee is $203.40.

Salesperson’s Certificate

The Property Agents and Motor Dealers (PAMD) Act 2000, requires that any salesperson or property manager in a real estate office holds a Salesperson’s Certificate from the Office of Fair Trading. The Salesperson’s Certificate can be applied for after satisfactory completion of the Salesperson’s Registration Course and obtaining a position, or an offer of a position, in a real estate office. Application forms can be downloaded from www.fairtrading.qld.gov.au.

  • Cost: $600/$700 (approx) depending on training organisation

Employment Conditions

Salesperson working conditions and remuneration are covered by the Property Salesperson’s Award of Qld (PSAQ).
This award allows for several pay options.

Option 1 $457 offset against commission

Option 2 Commission only

Similar business development work history
Earn or employer guarantees earnings of 115% of $457 in commission
Option 3 100% Desk fee for experienced and fully licenced agents
